ORIGINALS AND COVER SONGS !
Music Aid has partnered with major music organizations and companies for the Music Aid 2020 Song Contest and Awards. These partners include The Song Copyright Organization, SubmitMySong.com, The ISA´s International Songwriting Awards, The Lyricist Of The Year Awards (LOTY) and The UK Songwriting Contest. Your song entry will take part in ALL of the above mentioned events for just one entry fee!
COVER SONGS AND ORIGINALS
Submit both original songs and cover songs. Singers, bands and instrumentalists can submit versions of well known, and not so well known, songs in the COVERS section. There are Awards for Best Cover Song, Best Original Song, Best Band, Best Songwriters, Best Female Solo Artist, Best Male Solo Artist, Best Instrumental, Best Singer-Songwriter and more. Check out Award Winners from past Music Aid events using the links at the bottom of this page.
WHERE THE MONEY GOES
This is a benefit fundraising event and ALL entry fees go directly to fund Music Aid´s work. Your entry fee will fund development of the new charity fundraising Music Aid App, it will support COVID 19 Relief work, and support our Child Aid projects. It will also support work on next year´s World Concert Day event, which in April 2020 raised funds for health workers and COVID 19 Relief internationally and supported and promoted the World Health Organization´s COVID Solidarity Response Fund. Your participation is important and it will help to ensure Music Aid´s continued support of these and other great causes and charities.
OPPORTUNITIES
Awards are given to outstanding songs. But Music Aid is also looking for artists and songwriters for future Music Aid Records release. This is a new label formed to promote new talent in association with leading charitable organizations. Everyone who participates is automatically auditioned for the label and has their entry examined by label A and R producers. Everyone who enters has an equal chance to be selected for a deal and to win an award in the various award categories.
WHY YOU SHOULD ENTER
Show your support for Music Aid´s important work worldwide
Genuine opportunity for all songwriters, singers and bands
Selected entries signed to worldwide distribution through iTunes, Amazon, Spotify
International Media Promotion for the top rated participants
Be seen and heard by the music industry and media
The knowledge that you are funding good causes with the entry fee
HOW TO ENTER
Submissions are processed by SubmitMySong.com and The UK Songwriting Contest who have donated their secure entry systems to ensure quality control during song entry administration. Use the UK Songwriting Contest entry form but make sure to select Music Aid 2020 (Original Song) or Music Aid 2020 (Cover Song) or Music Aid 2020 (Original Lyrics) from the categories. Songs can be in any style or genre. Your song will automatically take part in three events: Music Aid 2020, The UK Songwriting Contest, The Lyricist Of The Year Awards (plus there is an option to add The International Songwriting Awards). All for just one entry fee! And this fee 100% supports good causes! Note: Entry fee is shown in Pounds Sterling (£15) because entries are processed by the UKSC entry system, but this is charged in your own local currency and appears in your own currency in statements. For example at current rates this is about US$18.50 or 16.50 Euros.
